  1. What you lack in flair, you certainly make up for in sheer skill.

I just hope you take advantage of Prime and give us something with a bit of punch: the trailer's background was rather realistic for such stylized designs, and thus, kind of boring. We'll see Cybertron on the show sooner or later, give it some pizazz, maybe take advantage of some of the 'alien' locals, like Maccadam's Old Oil House, and blow our minds. You'll have 7-10 years to do so, I hope you do.

  2. XD awesome dude! I think background sets and environments sometimes takes a second seat to character designs and voice actors, but it's good to see you guys getting the credit too.

I'm real excited for Trasnformers: Prime! Make us fans proud!

  3. Trust me, I've never worked harder or been more excited about a television project. We are limited after all by whatever locations are dictated by the scripts. Still even within the constraints of a TV production, I think the show will impress the most cynical. Thanks for the support.

  4. I realize there are limitations Vince, but there are subtle ways to give the scenery character. Prime probably uses a fictional city, so unfortunately, finding creative ways to work in real landmarks is out, but there's other ways. There's no way the Autobots won't have a base, so give it some flavor: Cheetor had tacky posters all over his room, Dinobot kept his clone's pelt on his wall, Animated Prowl had a 'Hang in there, baby' poster on his wall...you'd be surprised what you can accomplish even within the limitations of production.

As for the show as a whole, well, unless it tries something radically new that has never been utilized in Transformers, I don't see my enthusiasm getting any higher. I'm sure I'll be impressed, but after what's come before, I can't see myself being anything but underwhelmed, sorry.

  5. I look forward to your critique of the show after it premiers. I'll also be able to post production art at that time.

  6. Ah-heh, 'wait and see' is a good attitude to take, but when you see the same team work on enough shows, you start to notice a pattern, a pattern I don't see this show breaking from. All the best though.
